About Me

I am a field officer with Affric Highlands. The main focus in my role is undertaking Wild Tree Surveys as part our efforts to show land owners in our landscape what woodland and wild native trees are present, and suggest land management options to help any woodland and trees present to regenerate and thrive.

Why I've Chosen My Being?

This Atlantic rainforest species can be found tucked away in damp woodland. As with many mosses and liverworts, this tiny species will often be overlooked, being one of many green dripping epiphytic plants adorning trees in our rainforests. However, look under a hand lens and you will see just how beautiful this tiny plant is. Protecting our Atlantic woodlands, including all the wonderful trees, ferns, bryophytes and lichens, will protect this wee green gem, and many other wee plant species too.
